Acne + Wrinkles = Life at 40

All grown up and still breaking out? Stop using that kid stuff on your face -- it's not designed for your skin or your breakouts. You need a cleanser with salicylic acid, which is gentler on your skin than typical benzoil peroxide treatments. Use daily, ideally at bedtime; follow with a non-comedogenic moisturizer designed for your skin type. And for heaven's sake, don't sleep in your makeup.

Neutrogena's Oil-Dree Acne Wash is perfect for adult skin that won't grow up but is still growing old. Not that YOU look old, that's not what I mean, YOU look GREAT, it's just that ...

Wrinkles and acne. All at once. Who would ever have guessed?

Oh, but be careful! We can't all use that - it totally dries my skin out in the worst way and then I break out more. Less harsh than some things, but still too harsh for me.

Who knew? I thought, 20 years later, I'd be done with the acne...

Oh well.

Here is another safe and natural way to fight sign of aging which I would like to suggest for your evaluation. Biologically active and transdermal gel collagen, COSMECEUTICALS with cure effects on skin, eyes, nails, hair and the whole body.

This unique formula of Natural Collagen Q 5-26 can:

Rejuvenate maturing skin
Deeply moisturize and tone skin, instantly firm and tighten sagging skin while filling in lines and wrinkles, reduces the appearance of puffiness of dark circles around eyes.
Delay the aging process.
Clearly improve skin immunology, compactness and pigmentation.
Smooth mimic wrinkles.
Smooth scars, stretch marks and scalded skin.
Regenerate hair and nails: grey hair gets darker, brows and eye lashes start growing again, nails get harder and more elastic.
Help in overall body massages.
Be used for collagen baths which gives a therapeutic effect to the whole body.
It is the best balsam for after shaving and deputation.
Help with juvenile acne and acne rosacea
Help after sun care
Help after operation scar tissue care
Help after facial skin lift and peeling

Natural Collagen offers excellent and quick results is 100% natural, pure, live and biologically active. Contains no artificial additives, no coloring and is odorless. It does not cause skin addiction nor it has any undesirable side effects.

Natural Collagen Q5-26 with its so called "triple helix" cell structure, which makes it biologically active is the only living collagen product identical to human protein. So it fights the causes, not just the effects of ageing.

Natural Collagen Q5-26 gel thanks to its transdermal effect is absorbed by the skin and forms a fine mesh like structure of protein, supplementing any deficiencies and initiating the process of skin regeneration and rejuvenation.

Oooh, Jordan, that's not good. What are you using?

And I'm leaving the spammy comment (hello, spammy commenter) because I am curious if any of you have tried the "cosmeceuticals."

Story of my life. It's just not fair! Seems that overnight, I went from oily and pimply to dry/sensitive and pimply.

Everything OTC dries me out, too. The only thing that has worked for me is a product purchased from my dertmatologist - Diácneal. It's made in France and is expensive. But it works! Takes care of wrinkles AND acne.

Susan, I could just hug you for saying that you have acne and wrinkles! I do too and I just hate both of them! NotfairNotfairNotfair!! I thought I would have a couple of golden years with neither.
I use a cleanser with salicylic acid, but only about every other day because it dries out my skin too much. In between I use an age fighting one.

Benzoyl peroxide :)

Tea tree oil works really well, too :)

I use Burt's Bees Tomato Face soap because it doesn't have the SLS stuff that irritates my skin. I normally use Oil of Olay Complete SPF 15, but this morning I started w/ the Mary Kay Timewise SPF 25. We'll see if it makes me break out or not. That Nuetragena product is WAY too harsh for me.
