I'm all about plus sizes today; at BlogHer, JenB and I are collaborating on some posts about shopping for basics (watch for Jen's BlogHer post on Sunday, which will include shopping options for the US and Canada), and at TWC, we're getting dressed for work, with a little shopping help from you all.

Because I am essentially one big advertisement for Lane Bryant, I wanted to let you know that they have a new sizing system where you buy your jeans (and some pants!) according to your figure shape. It is great. Takes a little time trying stuff on, but once you find the right one it is so great.
I had no idea I could have jeans actually sit against my back rather than gape open and give me plumber's butt all the time. Love them.

So, plus size jeans... I need some, my last pair bought 3 years ago will no longer keep their zipper up. Went to Steve & Barry's to check out Bitten. The only pair of dark rinse jeans going up to a 22 that they had in stock (CHampaign IL) had PEG ANKLES WITH ZIPPERS. With a $14 price tag. No, no, no. I meant to go to Lane Bryan today, home of expensive jeans with too much stretch, but went to the wrong mall. Ended up at JC Penney's which had 4 styles of dark rinse straight leg jeans. FOUR! No zippers, no kooky details. For $20 a pair, I kid you not. PLUS! They have plus size fall jackets like you have been talking about for $25. I got a plum jacket, 2 pair of jeans, and a chocolate brown zip front cable knit hoodie (fancy hoodie) for $100. Regular Lane Bryant shoppers will recognize this is a deal for plus size clothes.
That's great!! My favorite store for plus size clothing is Jessica London which provides cool designs of dresses!!
